Japanese and Vintage Beads Montezuma Collar Necklace
This original “one of a kind” beaded collar is inspired by colorful Mexican craft and pre-Colombian geometric inscriptions. The technique used for this collar is called CRAW, cubic right angle weave, and it`s extremely time consuming. It took more than 20 hours of hand-weaving to complete this piece.
Materials used include the finest Japanese Toho seed beads size 11 and four repurposed 10 mm marbled lucite spheres from 1970, color lime. Although the fishing thread used in this kind of beaded work is extremely resistant, this kind of artwork requires special care.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece and can not be reproduced.
